The comment of this exhibition is to make a balance sheet archaeological, so complete as possible of hundred of years of excavations and of monumental researches to Souvigny, covering all the periods of the Gallo-Roman Antiquity to the XIXth century.
It also allows to review questions which were never approached and can enrich our knowledge of Souvigny: epigraphy (statement and study of the ancient inscriptions), anthropology (study of the human rests dug up during the excavations of the church and the square), reconstruction of the successive phases of building of the prieurale, etc.
